Besides the normal checkup of heart, lungs, etc, Barney has been tested for:

The kittens from this combination will be so-called Outcross-kittens and will get official registrationpapers.
Dad is a healthy, "ordinary" European Shorthair ( ex- housecat )with a very sweet temperament.
Their kittens will not get curly hair, but will get their parents'wonderful temperament and looks that are quite close to the Devon Rex.
The aim of all this is to bring new genes into the Devon Rex-breed. I therefore hope to be able to use some of these kittens for breeding-purposes.
Extra: on november 15th 2009 Barney officially became a European Shorthair; he has all the desired breedtraits. (click here for the Fifé breedstandard)
